Lock In Your Headcount
Setting an RSVP deadline tells guests when they need to respond by. After the deadline passes, the RSVP form closes automatically — no manual intervention needed. This gives you a firm headcount for planning catering, seating, and logistics.
How to Set a Deadline
When creating or editing your event, choose an RSVP deadline date. The deadline is displayed prominently on your invitation page so guests know exactly how much time they have. Pick a date that gives you enough lead time to finalize your plans.
What Guests See
Before the deadline, guests see the cutoff date on the invitation and can submit their RSVP normally. After the deadline, the invitation page clearly indicates that RSVPs are closed. The event details remain visible so guests can still reference the date, time, and location.
Extend or Remove
Need more time? You can extend the deadline or remove it entirely at any point. Editing the deadline reopens the RSVP form for guests who haven't responded yet. JustInvite keeps you flexible while giving your guests clear expectations.
Optional by Default
RSVP deadlines are entirely optional. If you'd rather leave responses open until the event itself, simply skip the deadline field. Your invite link will accept RSVPs for as long as the event is active.
